Mr H A Mann is one of a few USA fellowship trained Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Surgeon in the UK. He graduated from University College and The Middlesex School of Medicine London UK in 1995 and completed higher surgical Trauma & Orthopaedic Training at Bart’s & The Royal London Hospitals, Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore and Great Ormond Street Hospital for sick children.
In 2008 Mr Mann was awarded the British Orthopaedic Association Travelling fellowship. Specialist fellowship training was undertaken in one of the most prestigious Foot & Ankle programmes in United States of America in 2009 - 2010 with Dr Mark S Myerson at the Institute of Foot & Ankle Reconstruction Mercy Medical Centre Baltimore Maryland.
Mr Mann’s expertise and specialist interests include all aspects of Adult and Paediatric Lower limb Foot and ankle disorders. Particular practice interests include treatment of ankle Instability, Cartilage ligament and tendon injuries, Sports and dance related injuries in children and adults.
With over 30 publications, books and book chapters his clinical research interests include haemophilic Arthropathy, cartilage preservation, the use of Stem cells and Nanotechnology in Orthopaedics. He has presented extensively at learned societies both nationally and internationally and is actively involved in training of Surgeons, junior doctors and medical students.
He has published extensively on bleeding disorders - treatment and management affecting the Knee, soft tissue, foot & ankle. He has presented at learned societies both nationally and internationally and is actively involved in training of surgeons, junior doctors and medical students in the UK and overseas. He remains passionate about research and development. Areas of clinical Interest include the uses of stem cells in orthopaedics
